Sweden’s National Day and Swedish Flag Day are celebrated on June 6 every year. 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
Prior to 1983, the day was celebrated only as the Swedish Flag Day. The National Day is celebrated partly to commemorate that Gustav Vasa was elected king of Sweden on June 6, 1523, and also to remember that the Instrument of Government was adopted on this day in 1809.
