On December 17 and 19, 2021, in Stockholm and Malmö, Sweden, on the occasion of the 880th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Sweden and the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO hosted a concert of the Karabakh Mugam Group under the direction of People’s Artist Mansum Ibrahimov.
Our musicians performed Azerbaijani national mugam compositions. Mansum Ibrahimov was accompanied by People’s Artist Elchin Hashimov (tar), Honored Artists Elnur Ahmadov (kamancha) and Kamran Karimov (nagara).
The event was attended by members of our diaspora in Sweden, employees of the diplomatic corps accredited in Stockholm, the media, public figures and members of our organization, as well as foreign guests and students.
