On December 7, 2024, our event called “IV social meeting of SSANA members in Sweden” took place in Malmö, Sweden. The event was held within the framework of cooperation of our organization with the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Sweden and with the financial support of the embassy.
40 members of our organization from 7 cities of Sweden took part in the event. The main goal of the traditional event, which was previously held in the cities of Stockholm, Lund and Gothenburg, is to expand relations, socialize and discuss various important topics between people studying and completing their studies in Sweden.
The meeting started with a visit of the participants to the Malmö city museum. The participants got acquainted with the history, culture and local features of the city in the Malmö museum.
Ilhama Huseynova and Gunel Aliyeva, members of the Board of Directors of the Public Union, informed the participants about the organization’s history, directions of activity and the goals of the social events held, as well as the co-founder of the Union, Rahil Mammadov, spoke about the organization’s contributions in accordance with the youth policy of our country and called for the active participation of young people in this process. did. After that, the ambassador of Azerbaijan in Sweden, Zaur Ahmadov, shared his views on the activity of the organization, noted the successful activity of Azerbaijan at COP29 and other international events, and expressed hopes that the youth will be more active in these directions.
After the speeches, there was a screening of Mikael Silkeberg’s film “Footprints of Noah”, which was shot as part of the “Year of Nakhchivan”. After discussing the film and other topics, the participants of the event took part in a quiz dedicated to topics covering the history and culture of Azerbaijan and Sweden. The winners of the intellectual game, Miradil Zeynalli, Samid Hajiyev and Aytaj Almammadova, were awarded by the staff of the Public Union.
