On October 23, 2021, a webinar entitled “Plastiksiz dünyaya doğru bir yol” (Eng.: “A Way to a World Without Plastics”) was held.
The webinar raised awareness about the negative effects of plastic on the environment, as well as the history and use of plastic packaging.
In addition, the importance of effective management of plastic packaging waste was discussed. The webinar was conducted by ecotourism specialist and member of our organization Tural Omarov.
Tural Omarov received his first master’s degree in Ecotourism and Wildlife Conservation from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Sustainable Destination Development at Uppsala University in Sweden.
From 2014 to 2019, he was the director of Campaign Azerbaijan, which operates as an ecotourism agency. From January to September 2021, he worked as an ecotourism specialist at the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau.
